About the Founder
Alee Mwambile
Co-Founder
Born and raised in Tanzania under modest circumstances, Alee always had a deep curiosity about the world beyond his surroundings. Despite financial challenges, he pursued his education and built a career in IT engineering. However, his true calling lay outside office walls—out in the vast landscapes of Tanzania and beyond.
In 2015, driven by a desire to explore, he began solo budget traveling across his home country. The experience was eye-opening, revealing both the beauty of Tanzania and the barriers that often prevent people from experiencing travel. Determined to break these barriers, he expanded his journeys internationally, facing numerous challenges along the way but gaining invaluable experience.
With time, travel became more than just a personal passion—it turned into a mission. He realized that many people, especially from his community, saw travel as a luxury they couldn’t afford. Determined to change this, he co-founded Sasatrip, a locally owned tour company committed to making travel accessible and affordable for everyone. Through Sasatrip, he helps others plan meaningful trips, curating experiences that blend adventure, culture, and affordability.
Beyond just organizing tours, Alee is also a strong advocate for conservation, recognizing that the beauty of our planet must be preserved for future generations. He actively promotes responsible tourism, encouraging eco-friendly travel practices and supporting local conservation efforts.
